No to Cars in the Summer!
If it is 75 degrees a car can heat to death-causing temperatures very quickly, especially if it is in the sun. If it is over 80 and sunny your pet can die from heat stroke within minutes of being left in a closed car (even if the windows are open a few inches all around). Pets die every summer of heat stroke in cars. If you need to leave your pet in the car on warm days, park your car in full shade and leave the motor and air conditioning running, or remove your pet from the car and find a shady spot outdoors where he/she can wait for you. Take your crate with you and make sure to fill your pet’s water bowl. If you don’t have a crate (you should always have a crate in your car), you should not leave your pet. Take him/her with you if that is your only option!
