Vetericyn is a hospital strength liquid that can be applied directly to your pet’s skin.  It is non-toxic and does not contain any drugs; it works with natural enzymes and will not hurt your pet if they lick it off. Contact time is important for it to work properly, so we suggest you apply it as directed and then take your dog for a short walk, or hold your cat in your lap (for 10 to 15 minutes). For cats and dogs that are scared by the sprayer, you can take a cotton ball, makeup removing pledgett, or a folded tissue and saturate it until dripping wet, then gently pat it onto the abnormal skin and let it air dry. Repeat two or three times daily. If your pet’s skin is not noticeably improving after 3 days, or if the skin condition is worsening at any time, please call for an appointment – your pet needs an exam, possibly lab tests, and probably some prescription medication.
