Madison

These are our favorite pictures of our mascot Madison.

Eeyore

Madison and Eeyore

This stuffed Eeyore is as big as Madison. We found him when clearing out Rachel's old bedroom (it is now Dr. O's sewing room), and Madison coveted him. When Rachel said she could have Eeyore, Madison was delighted and she carted him around for days. More than a year later, she still loves her Eeyore!

Cute in my fireside bed

I like to be right in front of the fire

In colder weather, if I can't have a nice warm lap, my second favorite place is my heated bed (covered up with a warm fuzzy dog blanket). But this bed is nice too especially when the gas fire is on - it's right in front of the fire and keeps me toasty warm. I like to be warm!

Me and My Toy

Madison with a green toy

Madison loves her toys - she knows many of them by name and likes to carry them around, play fetch, and make them squeak.

Nail Trim

Getting my nails trimmed

I may be good when I'm getting my nails trimmed but nothing says I have to enjoy it! What a look on my face...

Turtling in my crate

In her crate in the car, Madison likes to "Turtle"

From a very young age, Madison learned to re-arrange her beds and blankies. Whenever she gets cold, she burrows underneath something, often disappearing entirely.

Thanksgiving Day Hike

Madison and Dave in WV

Here we are on Thanksgiving Day, doing our Spruce Island Lake hike. There's Canada Geese poop everywhere and it is hard to resist eating some, but my mom and dad are vigilant and remind me that I'm not allowed to. Bummer.

Thanksgiving Day Hike - Brrr!

Madison in her super heavy winter coat

When we went shopping at Wylie Wagg for a new coat, we needed one right away and all they had in my size was BLACK. My mom likes bright colors, so she decorated my coat with beads and tiny bells in all kinds of colors. It's cool but I can never sneak up on anything because it jingles. Dad's a little embarassed to walk me in it, but us girls think it is pretty nifty. And it is so warm and toasty, too. Here I am on Thanksgiving Day, on a hike in the mountains. The sun was out but it was barely above freezing - the puddles had sheets of ice covering them. I was fine in my winter coat.

Trying out mom's new chair cushion design

Madison in wicker chair

I like to help when mom does her sewing projects. Sometimes I get in the way, but sometimes I help, too! Mom just finsihed designing and making this new chair cushion for one of the hospital chairs, and the minute she was done I had to hop up and model it. Sometimes I'm like a cat that way.

Madison Hunting

Madison on the trail of something

I love to follow the scent trails. I never catch anything, but it sure is fun!

Bitty Baby Madison

Madison at 9 weeks of age

Madison was horrible about holding still for her initial photos. In desperation, I held her in one hand and took a dozen quick photos with the camera in my other hand. This was the only one to turn out!

Fall Leaves

I blend in pretty well with the leaves, don't you think?

This past weekend, I hiked 2 miles on Saturday and 3+ miles on Sunday with my mom and dad. We were in WV and the leaves were cool to nose around in - lots of neat smells! I like the way they feel under my feet, too. LOTS better than gravel!

Running in West Virginia

Madison running in the woods

I was running up the hill to my mom when she snapped this photo. She also took one that only had my tail in it cause I run really fast! Well, pretty fast for a dog with 3" long legs...
