Did you know?

Many pets benefit from a program of regular ear cleaning and/or medication because they have constant or frequent ear infections, while others only have mild flare-ups of ear problems once in a while.

Is your dog very itchy?

Is your dog very itchy? Is he/she like this all year, or does it get worse in certain seasons? Does it go entirely away between flare-ups? Does medication make it go away, or just lessen the severity of the itch?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, your dog may have allergies to food and/or to things in his/her environment like pollen, dust mites, and tobacco smoke. A single blood test can tell us the answers to the allergy - yes or no question, and then we can take appropriate steps for treatment.

One of the real benefits of this type of allergy testing is that your dog does NOT have to be off allergy medication (including steroids and antihistamines) to be tested. And, if food trials are too difficult, too time consuming, or have not worked for you in the past, our allergy test panel gives you definitive results for dog food ingredients to avoid in the future.

Let us know if you have questions about our allergy testing.
