Veterinary Conference
We just finished going to the CVC (Central Veterinary Conference) at National Harbor. Barb, Rachel, and Stacy attended on Friday 5/6 (I went both Friday and Saturday). We all had fun! On Friday I learned about disaster medicine, how veterinarians were involved in the response to 9/11, corneal (eye) diseases in cats and dogs, non-surgical sterilization, and lots more. Barb, Rachel, and Stacy spent hours learning about new products, getting information on new foods, vitamin supplements, generic flea and tick products, new dental health products, probiotics, and lots more. On Saturday, I went to lectures on itchy cats, food allergies, behavior problems in cats and dogs, new medications, arthritis and pain medications for cats, and also learned about immune system support in pets with chronic diseases.
I purchased a few small pieces of equipment for the hospital, and a new edition of "Home-cooked meals for cats and dogs". Give us a short time to digest, process, and winnow what we've learned - soon we'll have new treatments, medications, and more to pass on to you and your pets! Keep an eye here; we'll post new information that came from the CVC (things that can help you and your pets)!
