Did you know?

If your cat throws up hairballs more often than once a month or so, you should make some changes.

Butter wouldn't melt in MY mouth

For the past week, I’ve had to spend every day, all day at the hospital while my mom (Dr. O) works. My dad is usually home with me, but he was in Arizona for more than a week. Don’t get me wrong, I like going to work with mom! But not every day. She puts up a special gate and I usually get to hang out in her office, with my crate, beds, toys, chews, water bowl, blankie, and mom’s lazyboy chair. I’m not spoiled. Really! I’m just the princess.

Man, did I get into trouble. I pushed my mom’s rolling chair up to her desk and hopped onto the chair and then onto her roll-top desk. I got caught because I was looking for food and accidentally (on purpose?) knocked mom’s phone off the hook and stepped on the phone buttons. Stacy was at the front desk wondering who was making outgoing calls, since she was talking to a client and my mom was in an appointment and there was no-one else here! Stacy snitched on me and I got put into my crate for the rest of the day. Bummer. It was fun exploring mom’s desk.

While I was up on the desk, I also walked all over my mom’s laptop (she was updating one of her ‘training’ documents, to help her new employee Edie learn all about how we do things here). When she came back into her office she had more than a page of gobbledegook. She was NOT happy. I was really lucky that I did not step on the delete or backspace key (or so she said). Not sure what those are. Maybe I should try to find out? Maybe not. I had to spend the next morning in my crate, too.

And I whined a lot. If you came into the hospital for anything during the past week, you probably heard me (or maybe even saw me being cute and lonesome at the gate to my mom’s office). I’m used to being the center of attention and I did not like it when my mom sweet-talked other pets.

Now dad is back home and all is right with my world again. I still love to come to work with my mom, but I really love at-home time with my dad. The best is at-home time with my mom AND my dad!
